In November 2000, Jane Goodall visited Cambodia as part of her international Reason for Hope tour. During her time in Phnom Penh, she visited Mith Samlanh (Friends), most likely in connection with Roots & Shoots, her program encouraging young people to take action for people, animals, and the environment.
I was there with my camera to document her visit and her interactions with the children. It was a brief encounter, but a memorable moment in the early years of Mith Samlanh.
